Ridiculous amount of lag?

I purchased the emulator today and tried playing Advance Wars Dual Strike but whenever I start a level I encounter a lot of lag. And I mean a lot. I have tried looking online and through the settings for something that would fix it but found nothing. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

There was a report that it is lagging on certain unit or if there's too many stuff on the screen. Btw, what's your phone ans what settings you have?

I have a Samsung GT-P5210 Tablet and so far I have not made any permanent changes but I have tried turning certain things on or off but nothing worked so far.

That's a X86 device, and DraStic is less optimized for X86 than for ARM. You still shouldn't get 'ridiculous' amounts of lag, though.
Could you check what mode it runs in Options > Advanced > Debug-Info?

It says it runs in X86 mode.

Okay, that's good. I tested the game on the only slightly faster Venue 8, which is also a X86 tablet, and it runs fine there.
Make sure that frameskip is set to 'Auto' and audio latency to 'Very High'. Also close any apps that you have running in the background.

I've tried it and while it works a little better there is still too much lag for me to be able to play it. I know it's a very 3d heavy game but I have also tried things like pokemon that lags almost as much.

What version are you using? I mean drastic. Also, what level are you on that lags?

I have version r2.2.1.2a build 50 and the game starts lagging as soon as you start the first level, particularily when there is dialogue inside the level.

If you enable the fps display, what values do you get when it slows down?
