What gaming platform do you like/are excited for most?
To start us off, I'll rank my top 5.
1: PS4(pretty self-explanatory)
2: PS Vita(I'm getting quite excited over rumors(rumor being that there might be a new more PS4-styled Vita with 2x the ram and a little bigger screen without the amount of pixels changing kind of like the 3ds to the 3ds xl) and the new games for it including Minecraft, Terraria, and Borderlands 2)
3: 3DS/3DS XL/LL the one thing that is keeping the 3D fad alive, I praise its growing exclusivity and, I see to it that the exclusivity will last a while!
4: Android is another one of those sketchy topics where is almost like comparing consoles to PC's because it does not have fixed specs that are reliable, but, you can do pretty much anything on it!(given you have the horsepower)
5: Wii U(I find it quite surprising that every turnaround Nintendo would rather save power than to have spare performance in any console. Even through all these debates and such on why Nintendo is making it quite 'underpowered' and the developers undercutting it, I find a pattern that Nintendo likes to be very efficient with their code and they tend to fit more things into less(for example, take a look at all the DS games). At another point, Nintendo is looking to combat piracy with the Wii U gamepad, just look at all the sensors it has on it, the gamepad has a motion sensor, a nfc reader, a microphone, touch input, and a bunch of controls.

Well, I would say as I am just a poor man, I go for the not so. Latest.
Wii and nds for all the rpg and strategy games
Psp for its multimedia capability
Nes for basically starting this all
Gameboyand gba for the memories of childhood past
My currently dead laptop for bringing emulation in my life.

I'm moderately interested in the Wii U, but only for two recently announced games (Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros.). I might get one if they start shipping out more games, but developer support for the Wii U is so weak right now...

fix:
#1: I'd rather support Nintendo, I feel bad for them.
#2: Its quite a hassle
#3: I'm not sure if there's an exploit yet
#4: I don't think there's a companion app or whatever that does that that would hook into an emulator

No Wii u exploit, but the wii version of the wii u can be used for homebrew. More info here: gbatemp.net/forums/wii-u-hacking-homebrew.248/
