Pokemon save corruption issues (work-around in thread)

Afaik there is trouble to ingame-save Pokémon Black with a pirated DraStic-Emulator.

I really don't care that much, but I pirated the emulator for a week - and now bought the full-version.
Still, when I save, everythings seems O.K. and after a game-reset it says, that my savegame has been deleted.

The reason why I ask is the Liberty Garden-Ticket Cheat, I want to use - but can't, since I have to reboot gamesystem. Well, I can, but then I don't have any savegame.

Phone: HTC One X (rooted, a bit patched, market-patched, no custom rom)
App-Ver: DraStic 2.1.5.1a
ROM: 5589 Pokémon Black GER (I don't know if it's patched, it worked simply out of the box.)

Right now, there's a problem with Pokemon Black/White 1/2 where saves can get corrupted due to desync with savestates. From our testing it basically happens if you do things in this order:

1) Make a savestate
2) Make an in-game save
3) Load the savestate
4) Make an in-game save <- This one corrupts your save

The reason why is most likely that the game is unhappy because it sees a save that was made in the future.

The next version (to be released soon, possibly today) will by default make in-game saves stored in the savestates, so that this desynchronization doesn't happen. In the mean time, the best advice is to just not use savestates for this game.

I don't think that the update will fix it with current savestates?
Atm I already invested ~4-6 hours playtime, so it would be a bit unpleasant if I have to start over again. :/

Here's something you can try that may or may not work:

1) Rename the in-game save file for the game to something else. It's in /sdcard/DraStic/backup and will be named like the ROM but with the extension ".dsv" This way the game will have no saves and will reformat them.
2) Load your save state and make an in-game save.
3) Reset the game (you can soft-reset with start + select + L + R) and try to load the in-game save.

Please let me know if that works.

Okay, I did something:

> moved the .dsv-file away
> loaded my quick-load
> saved
> restarded
Result: "your save game was deleted"

> deleted the new dsv-file
> started a new game
> loaded a save-state
> saved the game (took longer than usual)
> loaded a new rom (the same one, without resuming)
Result: "your save game was deleted"

I could provide my savestate as well exophase. I'm using blaze black but essentially the same game. Do I need to follow your steps first before I provide the savestate

you could try this.

erase non working dsv
make a new game
make an ingame save as soon as you could(check if it is a good save by loading it)
load state you want
make an ingame save
theres a good probability that its a good save.

I personally dont find it easy coz everytime i got that corrupt save i had to listen to the long drivel of prof. juniper

just make sure that when you battle e4 and champion iris, you use only ingame saves. im sure its tempting to use that savestate but just stock up on supplies and hope your pokemons hit hard.
