Phantasy Star Zero video issue [warning large images]

I finally got around to loading up Phantasy Star Zero in DraStic the other day and noticed that the opening video has some screen tearing. I have yet to notice simular issues on any other game using the same movie clip engine (I believe the Layton series uses it).
I apologize for the large (2560x1600) images.
Spoiler!
Has anyone else who plays this game noticed this happening.
I tried no filters, multi threading on and off, I don't use frameskip (unless I am using high rez). I am curious if I just did a bad cartridge rip.

Tested PS0, no tearing. Probably a bad rip, since I can't remember any tearing in ages on DS emus.

It'd be pretty strange for something like this to happen due to a bad rip or ROM integrity issue. It could be a matter of different behavior for different ROM regions. I'll check it out soon.

I've confirmed the tearing. None of the things I thought might have been causing it seem to be related. It also happens on DeSmuME, or at least the version I tested. But I think it happens in a different location. It may be that the timing just happens to fall in a place where it doesn't tear on a real DS.

I don't recall having this issue on Drastic DS on PS0, at least when I last tried that game maybe a month ago

I only checked that opening video that plays before you have a save, so I don't know if it happens in other videos (if the game even has them)
It's also not always that easy to notice if you're not looking for it.

It also happens in the first video (after it replays the opening video again) in a new game ( the one that does an overview of the starting city).
But yea it is hard to notice most of the time and it was a massive pain to screenshot.
The reason I was wondering if it was a bad rip is I thought that phantasy star zero was one of the few DS games with copy protection and didn't know if that caused the issue.

Off-topic, but did you ever noticed that protection? It always bugged me, as I could never find the card so either I'm used to messy drops or my ROMs were patched. It's hard to test said patches and cheats without a large poll and PS drops are pitiful as is.

Nope I knew it has some form of CP so it is one of the few NDS carts I just didn't bother to load into my flash cart and just carried it arround if ai wanted to have access to it. That is why I was wondering if it was the cause if the video issues I was experiencing since it was the first time I had ever made a backup of this game.
All the talk of texture filtering in the other thread just made me want to revisit the game in drastic though.
