Which is in most cases five to ten years from now. The reason why emulators like these have seen an early release or preview is that they're in early stages of development, and aren't obviously ready for prime time, not to mention host hardware constraints.

Emus are made primarily for documentation and educational purposes, hence why we see emulators for the 3DS early in its lifetime; the reason why Nintendo considers unofficial emulation as a threat is because of the fact that some view emulators as a cheap way to play games sans the original hardware. Take UltraHLE for example - the emu was hailed as the first to run games from the then-current Nintendo 64 at a playable speed. It was so popular that people literally begged the emu authors to do things in their favour, and as such the developers decided enough was enough and retired it hours after its release.
