Just double checked this video, 60fps in the menu's, and this is before jit was fixed.

Cloud what are your results in games

Yeah, in the menus.. I feel like we're kind of going in circles here >_> It could be going 1000fps in a screen where it's just waiting for you to press start and is updating a couple little 2D images, but that doesn't really mean a lot.

ahah well you`re right, it`s still kinda impressive xD I`ve got 25fps in the intro video and 10 fps ingame, actually I`m bottlenecked by my crappy graphic drivers so it should run better then that. Also, I think there`s still some hack in the gles backend that slowdown the game too (work around for crappy gles 3 implementation). And then when this is gonna be fixed, what will bottleneck us will be the jit, which sonic is still working hard on it, fastmem also give a nice speedboost but it gots broken ahah...

Should get atleast another 15fps no?

Someone on the Pandora forums posted a video.. I think this does a good job illustrating what I mean about how variable performance demands can be..

A game can run full speed during a menu or even a cutscene but if it regularly slows to a crawl during gameplay are you going to want to play it?

there's plenty still plenty of room for optimisation no?

Let's just say there's a reason why he's recording a time trial and not a normal race. Think about it for a little bit, and you should understand part of why the performance there is so much different from the performance on the S800 video I showed, despite the S800 tending to be a similar speed. Sure, another part of that is probably slowdown due to workarounds in the graphics code to get around bad drivers (and still has a bunch of glitches there), but probably not all of it. If the normal race was about as fast as the time trial they probably would be showing that.

Not that it's not impressive work though..

Exophase, it's definitely becoming much faster and better. This video I've made on snapdragon 800, v45 driver, ES3 backend. Efb copy wasn't on, it does remove glitches from SMS. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6O3EtTJlJc
