So I recently bought DraStic off the play store and have been playing Pokemon Games, such as mystery dungeon, and generally have been having a blast. Later on my friend wanted a DS emulator, but didn't have $5, so I pointed him to FreeDS. I installed it and noticed some striking similarities to DraStic.
The gyro loading screen
Same default options
Same options
And pretty smooth emulation.
This seems extremely odd... I'd recommend Exophase to look into it.
What's with FreeDS?

I searched on the Play Store and I can't find the emu you are talking about. Are you sure this is real?
OBJECTION!

Re: What's with FreeDS?
FreeDS is basically a hack of DraStic. it is prolly a 2.4.0.1 clone with verification patched and with ads. Exo is aware but something about the DMCA prevents him from filing a complaint or something

Re: What's with FreeDS?
We are aware of it. There is nothing preventing us from filing a takedown beyond effort. However, we wish to avoid a false retaliation claim, and FreeDS could easily pop back up as something else whereas a false takedown on our app could cause months of headache. The DMCA provides no consequences whatsoever for filing false takedown claims.
