[Resolved] Fast-Forward performance between LGG4 // LG Gpad

Hello everyone,

I've been recently playing Pokemon HeartGold on my LG G4 when i'm outside and LG Gpad 8.3 when i'm home, and i've noticed a strange thing with the fast-forward option ingame.

On my Gpad, the game runs smoothly even with a x300 max speed set, but on my LG G4, the game become sloppy, not unplayable at all, but it's not smooth at all, even on the lowest setting x50. All the options, frameskip (set to 0) and graphical preference are identical on both devices.

The LG G4 is supposedly more powerful than the Gpad, (Gpad : Snapdragon 600 // G4 : Snapdragon 808).

The only thing that could impact is the resolution of the screen ? (Gpad : 1920x1200 // G4 : 2560x1440) ?

It's possible that performance is being limited by the Cortex-A53 cluster. I assume you have high resolution rendering on?

DraStic will try to use 3 threads for rendering if it's a > 3 thread device. This can possibly hold back performance if there are only two "fast" cores. You can try to override it by making a file in sdard/DraStic/config called threads.cfg, where the contents of the file is jus the number 2. Then it will only use two threads.

Actually, the issue seems gone, just by uninstalling and installing the app again, now even x400 speed gives me good results.

I should have tried that before, sorry.

Yeah im a LG G4 owner and I've never had those issues on Drastic DS. The games run fine for me
