Always night time in Heart of Gold

I've tried to change the time in the emulator settings, but it is still always night time in Pokemon Heart of Gold. Is there a way to change it so it's day time? I am in California btw. So it's 9:09am here right now and in game I changed the time to 9:00am. I've also tried changing it to 12pm. But it is still night time :/ yes I have paid for the app, and in all the other games it isn't always night time. I am new to emulators so I'm kind of at a lose, any info would be most helpful. Thank you in advance.

The way the emulator works by default is to synchronize the time with your device when a game starts. Then update the time in synchronization with how it's emulated. Meaning if you go to the menu the emulated time stops. And if you load a state the time returns to what it was when the state was loaded.

There's an option in the menu to change the behavior so the time is always synched with your device. But I don't recommend using it if you can help it. It's better to make an in-game save, reset the emulator, then load the save (and you shouldn't be relying on savestates too heavily anyway)

Yes, but the problem I am having is that even at the correct time, it still is night time in game. I only get night time Pokemon, and it's dark. I tried the cheat code to make it afternoon all the time, but sadly it has no effect on the Pokemon that appear, so even though it appears to be daytime, the Pokemon think it's night so I'm getting lots of Zubats, Hoothoots, and rattatas....

You mean that the game is reporting the time as not night but appears to be night anyway?

That IS odd!

Try saving and restarting the game.

I have tried that and it does nothing. :/ Also some cheats get stuck and refuse to go away, I just wanted 1 shiny encounter, but now all wild encounters are shiny and it turned all my Pokemon including my starting one into the shiny version, for that, I started the game over but even then the game was night time :/

I noticed HeartGold was misspelled. is 'Heart Of Gold' a mod?

He's already messed up with cheats...Yes I noticed HeartGold stays Nighttime only...might be how the game was made.

I checked on Bulbapedia... didn't see anything about only nighttime.
