Save files

Post by ATEMVEGETA » Sat Nov 21, 2015 3:49 am

Is it possible to take the save files from NDS games from your phone and add the to another phone?

Also, is it possible to convert those save files to play on you PC with desmume? (.dsv)

Can you explain the procedure please and in which folder are the save files located in your phone?

Thanks!

The save files are in sdcard/DraStic/backup (sdcard may vary depending on your device)

The .dsv files there should just work with DeSmuME, assuming they're named correctly and put in the right place.

So, DraStic is also using .dsv save files?

Yes.

Originally they were just raw save files with that extension (DeSmuME .dsvs used to just be raw too, but this was a LONG time ago, like 6 years ago)

This was changed to add a footer compatible with the one DeSmuME puts on its save files. That's because DeSmuME stopped loading raw .dsv files starting with version 0.9.10.
