Changes to layout don't apply

Tried searching the forum, but it told me that "layout" is too common of a term so it just ignored it. Cool.

Just bought the emulator, but for some reason it won't apply the changes I make to the layout. It's definitely saving them, because the changes are still there in the editor. When I run the game it just uses the defaults.

Some common fixes I tried: I definitely bought it. I tried restarting the game, the app, and the system.

I'm using an Nvidia Shield tablet (no cellular version).

Are you actually using the layout you are editing? You can change the current layout in the bottom part of the Game Menu.

Well, it is not really intuitive... I think that aspect of the UI needs to be changed, but I'm not sure of a good way to do it.
