Feature and Compatibility questions

so ive veen using drastic since it initially came out but on the new lg g6 i got recently its been acting up in single thread mode. for some reason i get stutters and it has ti frameskip, where as on my galazy j7 2017 i previously had this was not an issue. turning on multithreaded 3d rendering fixes this but causes the swapped screens issue in the zelda games.

So i was wondering if there is a way to improve the framerate at all, and how do i use the new framerate stabilizer feature? its not explained very well or how to use it. any help on getting these games running their best would be appreciated :)

Assuming you have enough RAM, or your games are small enough, Disable "Enable uncompress to file" and enable "Enable preloading unzipped games to RAM"

Turn off multithreaded 3D, turn off frameskip, and turn up the framerate stabilizer to a value that works. You may have to play with it.

If your device is more than powerful enough to play a game (e.g. you can fast forward to a few hundred %), but stutters during gameplay, turn up the framerate stabilizer until it doesn't stutter. Then find the lowest number that doesn't stutter, and use that. Otherwise your battery may drain more.

It's not an exact setting, just find a value that works for your device.

im starting to think my stutters are caused by my 1440p resolution on the lg g6 and that drastic has to upscale to that which causes these hiccups. because no matter what i set the stabilizer to i seem to always get them, but yet on 720p devices like the galaxy j7 or my switch this just doesnt happen.

Is there a way to lower the resolution on your device? In that case, it would be a matter of just lowering the resolution whenever you wanted to play and problem solved.

Drastic works fine on devices with a 1440p resolution. Some LG devices have some weird performance enhancements to save battery life but causes issues in some games and emulators. If your LG phone has a Game battery saver mode, try seeing if that changes anyway. Make sure the regular battery saver is turned off as well.
