No problem man. Whatever I can contribute to help. I love this emulator although I'm still running 2.1.3A until the marking cheat codes get fixed for pokemon.

I don't know what's wrong, but I managed to brick the savegame again. Anyway, it worked again with deleting the save-file within the game.

In case of wondering, this liberty pass-shit is a lot of shitty shit. Shit.
At least I managed it to get on the island. If you're on the same search like I do, I give you some tipps.

There is a Pokesav-Savegame-Editor. It's very handy.
Writing your own Wondercard doesn't do shit.
To get every possible card-event, try this motherfucker: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showth ... ion-Thread

It took me ~3 hours to get on this island. It seems like the german version needs different codes, and even triggering the event doesn't courage the sailsman to get his damn ass up. Finally, with a dumped PGF-File I managed it to get on that island.

Repro:
Get your savegame here: /DraStic/Backup/[romname].dsv
Rename it to: [romname].sav
Open the savegame with Pokesav.
Click on "Wonder Cards"
Load a event PGF-File from the thread I linked above
Have fun.

(serious apeshit! I'm still mad. But saving does work now, if I really need to.)

Thanks for all your help.

Are you using savestates still?

i would say ingame saves are more reliable just coz its te actual saving mechanism. savestates are the one actually spoiling the ingame saves before....

Did you read where I explained that using savestates in conjunction with saving is what's causing the save corruption? :P

Jay Haru wrote:you could try this.

erase non working dsv
make a new game
make an ingame save as soon as you could(check if it is a good save by loading it)
load state you want
make an ingame save
theres a good probability that its a good save.
Thank you so much, this worked perfectly although it crashed just after it said "The End" so I was a little scared haha, but once I loaded it back up I was in my bedroom with the same Pokemon I used to beat the Elite 4. thanks again kind sir :D

With the new DraStic release (r2.1.6a), is the save game issue gone? Can ingame and save state saves both be used without problems?

Also, what's better now? A clean rom or a patched one?

yes as long as you do not touch the option disabling 'savestate stores ingame saves'. dunno about your old savestates tho.

Ok, thanks! Old save states don't concern me, I just wanted to start playing the game as soon as it worked well on drastic.
So, patched or clean rom?
