After the latest update, Drastic can't seem to recognize my moga pocket controller. I also use it for myboy gba, which still recognizes the controller. Any clue to why this is happening?

Not officially since the main source for the app is the Play Store.

This discussion contains a beta r2.5.1.0 build published by Exophase for fixing an issue with Android 9 smartphones. I think this is the only apk you can find on the forum and it still requires the license to be checked (pirates reading this, you are out of luck here)

There are some r2.5.0.4 apks on the web that require the user to modify them to work because they check for the license. If they are not already modified when you download them they should work if you have a valid license.

I found an untouched 2.5.0.4 apk, and it didn't recognize my controller either. It still works with multiple other mobile emulators though.

Was there something added in an update that directly affected Moga controllers?

I don't know, I bought this emulator when r2.5.0.3 was out and I don't recall an update about controllers.

Support for MOGA controllers was added in version 2.2.0.0a, so there shouldn't be any problems. Maybe try reinstalling the app.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it, but DraStic still doesn't recognize the controller. Maybe it's because the Moga pivot app isn't available on the play store anymore. That's all I can come up with. Again, thanks for the help :)

Just a thought: could I be missing a file that allows for Moga compatibility?

No, every file is contained in the app. Every file is the same for every user that downloaded it from the Play Store

Ok so, I found a fix.

I had to download the Moga universal driver APK (since it's no longer available in the play store), then set it up in DraStic as a generic gamepad.

Now I can use it, but it's no longer recognized as a Moga controller. Which means I can't use it to save/load savestates or access the quick menu. I'd still like to know why DraStic won't recognize it like it used to, but being able to use it is nice.

UPDATE:

Alright so the "fix" I laid out above doesn't really work.

I don't know if it's because the app is so old, but the controller stays connected for 20-30 seconds at a time before it disconnects and has to pair again. So I'm back to square one. :(
