Issue with Dragon Quest IX [Raspberry Pi]

Hi, I'm having an issue with the raspberry pi version of the emulator. I've tested this on the Android port and it's not having the issue.
After entering the battle record screen, it's impossible to exit. leaving me to restart the game, unable to use the battle records. I can play without these, but I don't to lose progress if I misclick in the menu and enter this screen.
