Someone I know has this emulator with a quad core Cortex-A7 device and from what I can tell Mario Kart runs 100% with no frameskips.

Well, this and that are written differently. DraStic plays more games at native or almost speed even on single core a9's esp 2d games while others need duals to quad and even then still are slow on some 2d games. I tried some myself.

On a very personal note, I say stay away from ainol tabs esp. The latest ones. Its crap what with actionsemi and vivante crap soc.

You mean to say an A9 device would give DraStic the best performance? I'm going to buy a new device soon and I want this app on it.

Not necessarily. Its just that athe a9 and prolly the a8 basically has twice the processing capacity of an a7 in regards to neon (if I read the article about them right). A15 more so as it does neon/vfp at thrice than that of a7.

Lets just say

A7 low end - bare minimum soc for DraStic
A8 and a9 middle end
A15 (not sure about a12) high end
