Can't press more than one controller button at one time

So I was just merrily playing some Pokemon Black 2 on my Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet when I randomly couldn't run anymore. You guys know how you have to press whatever direction on the controller pad + B. I can't run. I never had this problem playing on my HTC One X but for some reason I do on my tablet. I'd really appreciate some help, thanks 
P.s I've done the basic reset the app / turn it off and on again but it is the app, not the rom
