Retroid Pocket 2 - forcing portrait mode?

Anyone else here running DraStic on the Retroid Pocket 2? And if so, have you had any luck getting portrait mode to work?
I suspect this is a limitation with the device, and there's nothing that can be done with DraStic to work around it. The device is always in landscape mode, and has no accelerometer so never switches to portrait. I've tried a couple of apps that are supposed to lock your device into an orientation, and haven't had any success getting it into portrait mode.
In DraStic, I set the default orientation to portrait 1:1, and restarted Drastic, but it's still in landscape.
As I said, there's probably nothing that can be done for this, but I thought I'd see if anyone had any suggestions. The emulator works great on the RP2, so it'd be nice to have the option of portrait mode.
