Hey, I've been playing Pokemon Platinum the past couple of days and have been wanting to edit the save file on the computer. However, I haven't been able to find the .dsv file for the game, only the .dss for a save state I've made at one point. No luck in searching for it using my computer's search function, either. I'm sorta dumbfounded tbh.

Any ideas?

The .dsv files should be in a folder called "backup" inside the Drastic folder, at least they are on my phone. If you still can't find it, maybe try saving again in-game (not through save state). Also make sure hidden files are viewable to be on the safe side, though they shouldn't be hidden anyway.

Also check the "users" folder to see if you played the game on another Drastic profile.
