Black Screen on Mario & Luigi : Bowser's Inside Story

First, Fantastic emulator. Runs at full speed for everything I have thrown at it.
Okay, to the problem, on Mario & Luigi : Bowser's Inside Story, when you are playing as Bowser and begin to fight Midbus for the first time, the screen becomes nearly black. You can still see Bowser and Midbus if you look closely, but you can't do anything.
This is running on an HTC One running Android 4.1.2
