The game starts but it is impossible to play with it, the screens are flickering.

Same here, only thing that worked normally was the name input screen, after that the slowdown and flicker was hurting my eyes.

I think it's because of developers of Golden Sun. It's just as on old Golden Sun on GBA (have the same problem on my old symbian emulator for GBA). I hope they will fix it soon. I am so excited for this game. Right now i'm playing Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days.

Gie them a few months to sort it out. It's most likely a video and audio codec thing. Because for me, the intro showed all those glitches, but at the same time, one half was working in slow motion, but I could see the lettering and then the flying bird.

I could put my name in too, and then after like ten minutes I go into the first part. It was still slow as hell, but everything looked okay.

And that was in full speed on my S2.

Well, for those who are really curious, right now I know of three problems with this game in the emulator:

1) Something's obviously wrong with the graphics, causing flickering corruption, I really don't know what this one is. I have a hunch it's related to graphics glitches in other games like Knight in the Nightmare, but that's not based on a lot.
2) The audio has this horrible noise overlaid on it because audio capture isn't implemented. Once that's implemented it should go away, and I don't think that'll be that much work.
3) The performance has a serious problem because this game is constantly modifying code that is resident in the DS's ITCM (fast instruction memory). This hurts the emulator's dynamic recompiler. It needs a strategy to separate out the constantly modified parts from the parts that aren't modified, so that it doesn't have as much of a performance impact. And I think this is what's going to be the most work. But anything I can do to lower the cost can at least help.

For what it's worth, so far Golden Sun is the only game I've seen that has problem #3.

Sweet. Yeah. All emulator projects run into that ONE game that has issues. So not at all surprised. Just glad that it's still loading.
