Drastic on Huawei p40 pro

Hello everyone,
as I finally switched from a very old very damaged phone, I decided to go for the photo-monster that is the Huaweip40 pro. I knew about "the google thing" and up until now had no issues.
Only problem now is: How do I get the DraStic app? I would very much like to buy it, I'm against pirating, but I cannot seem to legally get the apk without google play.
Could I paypal the 5€ to the author and they send me the apk in return? What do I do? The free app is nice and I would very much like to support the creator!
