Bluetooth Keyboard mapping difficulties

Post by Minepow2 » Mon Aug 12, 2013 1:17 am

While attempting to map the keys of my Bluetooth Keyboard, the input was not registering key presses from the letter keys, and when I try to map the key to the letter key it just skips two key inputs (E.g. input for 'R', then after trying letter E it skips to input 'Start' instead of 'L'). To repeat, it does not register the input, and skips the preceeding input for the one after. It does not seem to include other keys. Anyone with ideas?

P.S. I tried multiple times to do this. I really doubt it was user error.

What's the make and model of your Android device & BT keyboard?

Can you name any apps the keyboard works with when mapping game controls?

My device is a Galaxy Note 8.0 Wifi Edition. The keyboard is a "Bluetooth Keyboard CASE For SAMSUNG Galaxy Note 8.0" according to the box. It included the keyboard and a case to go with it. The box also says in the specifications that the key board is a "Bluetooth 3.0 ABS keyboard". I have successfuly key mapped the keyboard keys on the Retroarch For Android emulator.

I am having the same problem while attempting to map my 8-Bitty controller to DraStic running on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7". If we can just get this issue & the portrait mode navigation bar addressed we'll be in buisness. Being patient & very grateful!

Do you guys have the keyboards set up by themselves, or do they require a separate application to work? As long as the keyboards are set up in the Android settings as being their own input devices, Drastic should detect them just fine.

Yep. 8-bitty still doubletaps with each button press using Galaxy Tab 2 7"

hey guys! those lucky enough to have an ipega should know that keyboard mode (A+Home) doesn't work. kind of, sometimes. try pairing your gamepad as joystick (X+Home). it worked for me. then go to the mapping section and map your keys.

either way! if that doesn't work, try downloading Bluez IME. search for the ipega version
