Demo works perfectly but full version crashes on load up.

I can run games on the demo without any problems but when I try to load a rom with the full version nothing happens. It just says 'loading' for a couple of seconds and then returns to main screen.

I've tried it both zipped and un zipped roms (both work on the demo version)

I've tried uninstalling the demo version, reinstalling both versions, reinstalling just the full version, clearing the cache, restarting the phone.

The games I've tested with are New Super Mario Bros, Diddy Kong racing.

The phone is a moto x

If someone has any idea of what might be the problem or what else I can try it would be hugely appreciated.

is this full version downloaded from google play or somewhere else?
