Juiced 2 - runs way too fast

It's like fast forward is on but it isn't.
All other games I've got (quite a few) are running fine so it's not a setting I've messed up.
Using on Android 9 on razer phone sd835. Tried couple ROMs, Europe and USA versions.
Are there any tweaks I could try to fix this?
