You can already move them.
Hold the screen layout button for the layout you want to edit them for. An editor will pop up, where you can reposition and resize the screens.
If you press Menu->Edit controller layout, you can also re-arrange the buttons and D-pad.

Resizing the buttons will also be possible after one of the next updates.

ow and i just forgot to ask something, hmmm how about the "start" and the "select" button, why are they separate from the other pads? hehe can we move them as well like the pads?
