i'm now considering to buy a new phone, and i hope to use drastic's high res option.
drastic high res beta is obviousely not going to run on my current device, which is 1.4ghz dualcore.
if it's not gonna run fullspeed on 2.3ghz quadcore, which is the cellphone i'm now considering to buy, i have no reason to buy such a fancy phone
so, can i get an answer for
:Will Drastic run at fullspeed on 512x384 pixels on a 2.3 Ghz quad-core hardware?

sorry for my engrish

Depends on your definition of full speed. Which do you care about?
- 0 frame skip
- 100/100 all the time, all games
- never use 3d multi-renderer option
- audio at the lowest latency with no sound cracks ever.

If you expect all that then the answer is no. Hi-Rez DraStic runs perfectly fine for a large number of games on my 1.9GHz quad core (bit.little is not a real octa core Samsung) device. I am guessing you are probably looking at a snapdragon 800 device since it is one of the most widely used 2.3GHz quad core processor. While I can not say that all games will run Hi-Rez perfectly on that chipset especially wince other factors come in to play like phone design leading to thermal throttling, kernal governors controlling clock speeds, available ram, screen resolution, and many many other things all effecting performance, I can say it will run more games with better options enabled at lower frameskip then your current device.

Thank you very much. I don't care about multi-threaded option and audio latency so I guess it will run fine for me.

Just keep in mind that not all games play well with the 3d multi-renderer setting turned on, so some games may for that and various other reasons still possibably need to be played at their original resolution. Or on the games where frameskip does not cause issues with some frameskip to keep frame rates stable.

Hi-res runs fine on my phone, and it's just a cheapie android from T-Mobile. (LG Optimus if you were wondering)
