Pokemon Diamond Saves

I have bought a super console x that runs drastic on pokemon diamond and pokemon black. however, i can't open the in game menu to save on pokemon diamond. and, when i tried to save and load states, it didnt save anything. i dont know how to view or access the files on the super console x so i dont even know how to figure out whats wrong. im very new to this so i am unsure of how it works, any help would be great.
