Re: Drastic's Future
OH COME ON! Everyone with a bit of common sense, which everyone has, can differenciate them! I don't even need to follow these guidelines! Yes, everyone can differenciate them. The problem is that they don't want or don't know how to do it or if it is necessary. Like in the age when Softonic was us...

Re: Drastic's Future
That's the problem with an application marketplace as open as Google Play. Sure, the barrier to entry is low if you're an honest developer wanting to publish legit open-source software of your own handiwork, but there are those basement-dwelling kids from developing countries and shovelware develope...

Re: Drastic's Future
I am not one point out but open sourcing the app does not necessarily mean you can get what you wanted. It just means exo would no longer invest on the app and would let another dev fork it. Also, thank god the app isnt really that popular. just think of how much work I need to do erasing ads and h...

Re: When DraStic will get some update ?
Google seems more about CYA than being proactive, so you better learn how to sift through the waste. A dev base that's hungry for some mobile money and a consumer base which doesn't know/care only make things worse. That is, oblivious or non-tech savvy parents and way too many kids making up the An...

Re: When DraStic will get some update ?
Yeah, Google could put a non-zero effort on the store but they obviously don't give a f. Some could argue about walled gardens, but there's so much trash that you always need to check the dev to not download crap. Anyway, the app has enough following as is to draw people, and a rekidling is necessa...

Re: When DraStic will get some update ?
Sorry SSUPII, but popular opinion say it is a great idea to open-source the emu. Though, to SSUPII's credit, his concern is justified given the Sturgeon's law nature of the store. But then again those who are sensible enough will get the real deal and not those grubby rip-offs cashing in on someone...

Re: When DraStic will get some update ?
And we'll have to come up with an alternative revenue model to make up for those who paid for Drastic. Patreon seems fine, but that is a grey area at worst as some would take umbrage at profiting from emulation due to legal issues.
