I'm using a OnePlus 6T with Android 9.0. DraStic has file access though, and when this occurs I can go to the menu and save a new savestate.

I'm wondering if this is a personal problem or a known issue. It does not happen consistently, but I will occasionally run into problem where I cannot save from the "Quicksave" option presented when you first open the menu. You haven't given us any information to work with, but I can tell you that DraStic has worked perfectly for me on any device I have tried, running all the way through the latest versions of Android.
