Re: DraStic compared to DeSmuME for use by speedrunners

Hello all, This is MyLittleWalrus. I'm the head moderator of the speedrunning community for New Super Mario Bros. DS. Our current rules allow players to speedrun the game on emulator, but only DeSmuME version 0.9.11, as we have found that to be the best emulator in terms of speedrunning in various ...

Re: I want to convert a dss file

My storage file is saved only [.dss] in the game and not as [.dsv]. If I proceed to a file and use the in-game save feature, the [.dsv] will be created, but only the initial data will be saved, not what you are currently doing. Only [.dss] can proceed. I'm confused because I can't extract the [.dsv...

Re: I want to convert a dss file

dss files are for savestates and you can't extract a dsv file from it. Savestate are created using Save in the quick menu or Save Savestate in the Drastic game menu. They containt the exact things you do so you can load it later. They may be useful, but don't rely on them since they have the potent...

Re: nocash 3DS ongoing research

Since people are comparing powerful smartphone CPUs to the New 3DS and wondering why Citra runs slower than on a PC I should probably point out a few things here. The New 3DS may pale in comparison to the available chipsets in smartphones today, however this isn't just running 3DS code on a newer AR...

Re: Stuttering and audio hiccups with LG G6

If the latecy doesn't help and you get particularily laggy audio when going through transitions in games, you may be running the game off an external MicroSD card that is too slow or you are playing the game from a zip file (unzipping it to the NDS file may help).

Re: Low audio quality

It sounds like a gba or nes game yet when I go on YouTube the audio in this video is very clear and high quality https://youtu.be/JglkA2rmXec Is it just that the windows emu has better audio quality or is there a s...

The saves should be on the backup folder inside the drastic folder.
They are as .dsv files too, you'll need to rename them to .sav or .nds.sav depending on the flashcart.

can you check what permissions you have on the app? is it allowed to modify your memory/sd card?
If drastic doesn't have the storage permission, it will mention that on the main menu first and then shows the Storage permission request box. Make sure they are using the latest version

Re: Program bags

2. Do your ROMs have the nds extension? Because the emu isn't gonna show files with unknown extensions. Doesn't the emulator support compressed files as well? Yes .zip files are fine and will work but if they are .7z or .rar files however you will need to extract them. Make sure you navigate to the...
