The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Post by EeeK » Thu May 15, 2014 3:19 am

Started playing this game using DraStic version r2.2.1.2a on my Note 3 phone. Works great with some minor problems.

1. Lag when using Grappling Hook weapon.

2. Game would hangs after playing for awhile and the workaround is the use the in-game save and do a reset.

Any idea will there be fixes on these issues?

Do you have any cheats enabled?

Okay, well the best thing that can help us fix problems with stability is if you can reproduce crashes. That is, if there's a precise set of instructions that will lead to a crash happening every time from starting the game, preferably from loading an in-game save and not a savestate.

We did fix some things that caused crashes in some other games, so it's possible it'll work better in the next version anyway - but without knowing exactly what was happening it's hard to say.

As for the lag, could you describe that in more detail? Is there a lengthy slowdown where the audio is stuttering? Or is it more of a momentary thing?

When the crash happened, it's either restart to the main menu or show a white screen when advancing to the next scene, for eg. going into a cave or getting into the ship. The procedure is load from save state, going to the next scene and crash.

For the lag, there's stuttering in both the video and the audio when I used the grapping hook to pull myself to a chest for eg.

Can you reproduce a crash if you don't load from a savestate but from an in-game save?

Have managed to complete Phantom Hourglass.

Playing Spirit Track next, any known issue?

Sadly can't continue playing Spirit Track as stuck at the flute caused by the mic problem.

Is there someone working on to fix this issue?

The flute parts work fine on my test devices (including Note 3), did you try to change the mic level in the settings?
If it still doesn't work, you can also use the 'fake mic' function. For the flute it'd probably be best to map it to a special on-screen button in the virtual gamepad settings.
