Pokemon Platinum Underground

Hello. This is my first time on this forum.

And i have a problem.

I am playing pokemon platinum, and the underground feature does not work. I save and turn on ds communications (otherwise doesn't work) and go inside but a blue screen appears saying "A communication error has occured. You will be returned to title screen. Please press the A button.
The underground works of desmume however, and even it does not have ds communications.

Also, i do not understand a BIT about the settings, so please explain step wise.

There is no wifi support at all (if this is what i think it is), whereas desmume has had some basic implimentation (at 1 point the devs behind the PC version was able to connect to the nintendo wifi servers and play with other DS's)
