Patched or clean ROMs for pokemon games?

Post by eijom » Thu Jan 02, 2014 7:05 pm

Hi, I just bought this emulator today and I am very impressed by it. I am going to play the pokemon games: heartgold, platinum, black and black 2. I was just wondering do i use a clean ROM or a patched ROM?

I dont want to run into any problems halfway through the game so i would like to ask which ROM other people have used

Best running them clean, but really im not sure it matters too much. Ive used a clean version of HeartGold, a patched version of HeartGold (a ROM hack called SacredGold), a clean copy of black 2 and a ROM hack patched version of White 2 and all work fine on the latest version of drastic.
Devices running Android:

- Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (CM12.1, overclocked, undervolted)
- Asus Nexus 7 2013 (Stock Marshmallow...to play Pokemon GO on...)
- Tenfifteen QW09 SmartWatch (Kitkat)
- Fujitsu Lifebook T4410 Touchscreen Laptop (Remix OS 3.0)

patched versions are usually used for r4 carts so it doesnt matter really.

Patched versions are good when you are using no$gba or other similar DS emulators on PC also.
