Windows Phone 8 Port

Post by Gsmaniak » Thu Oct 17, 2013 11:26 am

Hello ,
I'm a Windows Phone user , I saw coming out apps to emulate Gameboy color , advance , SNES and NES this year. Now , the next thing I'm waiting for is a NDS Emulator. I saw there are many on Android but , didn't saw any projects for Windows Phone... So , are you going to try porting your app on WP8?
Thanks for answer!

I remember that Exophase, the main dev, said that w8 and non jailbroken i**** wont run drastic coz of sometihng like them not allowing something dynamic (probably JIT?). so a simple answer to your query is no unless there is some way to 'jailbreak' win8.

I see.... I think I'm gonna change for an Android phone. I'm sick of Windows Phone and all of his limitations

Windows phones cant dynamically generate code, which is an absolute requirement for drastic. Even jailbroken iphones cant do this either. Hence why that nds4ios emu is so slow because it runs in interpreter mode.
Devices running Android:

- Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (CM12.1, overclocked, undervolted)
- Asus Nexus 7 2013 (Stock Marshmallow...to play Pokemon GO on...)
- Tenfifteen QW09 SmartWatch (Kitkat)
- Fujitsu Lifebook T4410 Touchscreen Laptop (Remix OS 3.0)
