if it can motivate you, once gpl compatible, you will be integrated into batocera linux (http://batocera-linux.xorhub.com/) out of the box.
for the moment, it requires some knowlegdes.
batocera is available for anybody as a live usb/sd card for x86 x86_64 rpi0 rp1 rpi2 rpi3 odroidc2 and odroidxu4
and nds is thus only available for x86 and x86_64 while performance other concurrent is good only on these plateform.

This puts me in a quandary of whether to buy now or just wait a while. I have games to play in the meantime anyway.
How about a "Summer sale" for Drastic on Google Play?
I would just get it. It's totally worth the money, and it's cheaper than ever, as Exophase has repeatedly dropped the price in the past. IIRC it was $9 USD when I bought it and I've no regrets. Been using the emulator for years now.

Same. Bought it when it came out and it turned out to be my best software purchase ever. Don't think. Just buy it. It's that good.

I'm really pleased with how well drastic has done so far. It is by far the best DS emulator for android. I paid for the app and was well pleased with the performance. Open-sourcing the app would deffinatly improve the emulator and the speed of development. As far as clones or knockoffs go I don't think they will be a problem as long as the emulator stays as good as it is. On top of that drastic already has a decent sized community that supports it. If anything just open the project to volunteers for certain aspects of the emulator.

If you open source it, there will very likely be a RetroArch port and any device with an arm or x86 cpu could run it.

Sorry about lordus, I did not know that had happened when I got mad about a bug report and am sorry I did now.

I really hate Google Play Services and disabled everything Google on my phone. Unfortunately the ONLY app that I have to turn them on for license checking from time to time is DraStic. Please make it open source and let us support you on patreon or something, or at least add other license checking methods :)

Thanks!
