[GUIDE] How to get the most amount of speed possible on your

Post by Howdareme » Sun Aug 18, 2013 2:37 pm

Speed can be an issue on low end devices so I created this guide to help the guys that are experiencing a little bit of lag on low end devices.

Note: Don't expect any speed boosts if your device is high-end

I will start with the obvious things that many of you have done already: (Since I'm typing this on my phone, I think ill keep this short and simple :p)

1. If your device has low ram (Random Access Memory) here are some solutions:

*Clear ram before playing games. (You may do this by going to your task manager) If your device doesn't have a task manager, I would recommend this useful app: " Smart Ram Booster" which is available on the Play Store for free.

*Make a Swap file on your SD card

Note: (I don't recommend doing that if you don't know what your doing)

Info on Ram:

Random Access Memory (RAM) is temporary data storage that the CPU
uses during calculations. The more RAM a device has, the more
calculated results the CPU can store - which means less time the CPU
has to do the same thing over and over again. In other words, the CPU
can check RAM to see if it has already made a particular calculation in
the recent past. If it has, it can use the pre-computed results instead
of wasting processing time recomputing the same calculation. In short,
more RAM means a more efficient (and faster) device.

Info on Swap:

Swap space in Linux is used when the amount of physical memory
(RAM) is full. If the system needs more memory resources and the
RAM is full, inactive pages in memory are moved to the swap space.
While swap space can help machines with a small amount of RAM, it
should not be considered a replacement for more RAM.

2. Overclock your device (If your kernel supports it)+ (Don't overclock to the max all the time, you will burn out your device D:)

Info on Overclock:

3. Scripts!

*I'd like to recommend this script:

forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2404653

Just follow the instructions on that page and your all set

Good luck! But most importantly, happy gaming!
