Not a valid ROM/Recover data

Post by Darren991027 » Sun Dec 15, 2013 5:07 am

Hi guys, I lost my played halfway ROM, and it was accidentally deleted.
So i transfer the same ROM from the computer and open it, it says: 'This ROM is not a valid ROM'

Any idea about this?

And i had lost my ROM, so those the DraStic have some backup files to recover my file anyway?
I really need to recover those saves...

Thanks alot,
Sorry, bad english

if by backup you meant saves then yes.

the ingame saves (saves in the game) are stored in sdcard/drastic/backup while savestates (saves using the app) are in sdcard/drastic/savestates.

you can just make/get another copy of your rom and you would still have your data (unless they too had been corrupted.).

uhm hi thanks i had backup my ROM

Now the second problem is i was playing Pokemon Black and i need to transfer it to PC to play
Then i press 'X' Then 'Save', it was the manual save.
Then i take my Pokemon Black ROM to PC and use a DS Emulator to open it but it was a new game...

So how can i get my previous file on my PC?

thanks in advance

what emulator do you use? if its desmume, you can get the save file (it ends with .dsv) in the battery folder. copy this and paste it on the backup folder on sdcard/drastic.

you can paste it on desmume/battery
take note that the latest desmume (0.9.10) seems to use 1kb more of data for their saves so use desmume 0.9.9 for more compatibility.
